Project Sleepin '67 Pt. II


The Sleepin' 67' 'Aint so sleepy! It's a dead giveaway to anybody with a set of decent eyes. We narrowed the stock wheel wells about three and a half inches and did it with style. Using a repop inner half, we measured twice, cut once and came pretty close to perfect. We added hand cut pieces of 18 gauge cold rolled steel to fill the gaps and TIG welded each piece in place. No overlapped sheetmetal and bondo here, just good old fashioned time consuming labor. And lot's of it. This car will have the nicest wheel wells around when it's done. This is the ONLY way to fit the big rubber the right way.

We have decided on Fikse wheels in 17x11 w/335 35 and 17x9 w/275 40 biscuts. The rear suspension is designed and fabricated in house and will be a trick four link setup that is adjustable for instant center height and length. We will offer the suspension as an aftermarket item that can be tailored to the specific needs of the car and driver. The car will ride on AFCO coil overs front and rear. Wilwood six and four piston calipers will stop the car with room to spare.

By the time you read this the car will be mocked up and almost ready for a test ride.
